Rumors among the Discord community whispered of a new release and before anyone knew what was happening, a new version dropped, causing an uproar among players - the Dev team had done it again: new areas, new bosses, and new summons. However, what soon followed would forever change the face of Final Fantasy IV and further prove that the only limitations of this edition is the Dev’s team imagination and with that, version v25k was coded into existence.
In addition to brand new spells, summons, locations, and challenges, v25k adds quality of life features never before thought possible within the confines of an SNES game. Players choosing to play this version will be introduced to a completely revamped item/equipmet and magic screen, including descriptions for both. A brand new ATB meter has been added, giving the game the same look and feel of later Final Fantasy games and adds a whole new depth of stragety within the game’s hardest fights. Those familar with the game will also notice the classic Chocobo has been upgraded, allowing adventurous players to explore brand new areas by crossing the shallows. Long time veterans of Final Fantasy IV will notice new sound effects and graphics for some of the game’s most popular weapons. As to play homage to another classic SNES RPG, a special item has been added that will make any fan of the series unbelievably giddy, especially when they discover what this item can do.
Like with every new release, v25k also includes a host of rebalances among characters, monsters, and spells; new shops, and a plethora of additional changes that you’ll simply have to experience to believe.

Maria tells Alucard that she believes that Richter is there inside of Dracula's castle after Alucard informs her that he is there to put an end to the evil inside the castle. Will Maria find Richter and will Alucard be able to defeat his father and end the reign of darkness once more? Dracula beckons.. Castlevania SOTN IS in the opinion of many gamers, the GREATEST 2-D action RPG ever created in video game history! This game is the basis of many modern hand-held console versions of Castlevania (as well as other 'MetroidVania' style games) and it is easy to see why. The player controls Alucard, the son of Dracula, who is on a quest to kill Dracula like in every other Castlevania game ever. So what makes this one so special? Well, not only do you play with the most awesome character that ever was and will be but this is also the first game to entirely remove the 'Vampire Slayer'(the whip) from the game since our character isn't a Belmont or a Vampire Slayer but a vampire himself. It has stats like in every RPG, a leveling up system, a really good plot, a bad but nostalgic voice acting and a lot of hard boss fights. Anyone who hasn't played it yet, they should do so immediately since they won't regret it at all!

damon rates this game: 3/5Fist mac os. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was the very first Castlevania game on playstation. The graphics are great, but the voice acting is a little cheesy. Don't get me wrong, though, the game is great, though, and combines the features of other genres, such as rpg,(equipment system and experience/level up systems, too) and it plays almost like super metriod, so much that some fans call it 'Metriod-vania'
